What it is
The Roland Juno-106, released in 1984, is the polyphonic analog synth that taught a generation what "warm" means. Reproduction 80017A chips are widely available and a common repair, so a unit with one or two bad voices isn't a dealbreaker if it's priced for it. Beyond the voice chips, check the sliders and the membrane-style buttons, and listen for a healthy chorus — a noisy or silent chorus is another known age issue.
